I’m pretty sure the the employees of Motorola Mobility saw the ax coming way before the actual news hit considering job cuts seem to go hand and hand when companies are bought out. Google purchased Motorola Mobility last year for $12.5 million largely due to the companies Android’s patent portfolio. Google will cut 20% percent of Motorola Mobility work force which is about 4000 employees and close 33% of their offices. The majority of the will receive severance packages which will cost the company $275 million. So much for job growth in America, this will put a nice dent in the already struggling jobs market.
